Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Government Site Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you'll play a vital role in supporting a secure environment at a government location. You'll conduct regular patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and interact with employees and visitors to provide outstanding customer service. This armed post requires you to carry a concealed weapon as part of your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner in a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols within the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access or breaches.
  • Document and report all observations, incidents, and suspicious activities according to Allied Universal procedures.
  • Engage with staff and/or visitors in a professional manner, providing assistance as needed while maintaining a security-related presence.
  • Follow all protocols for the use and management of assigned firearms and security-related equipment in compliance with company and legal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
