Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a chemical or petrochemical location. This position involves both armed responsibilities and driving duties, making each day dynamic and engaging. You will interact with site personnel and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication, while upholding our company's values of agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client location.
  • Provide quality customer service while interacting with all personnel and visitors at the chemical or petrochemical facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols, both armed and unarmed as required, around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Observe and report all incidents, hazards, and/or suspicious activity encountered during patrols or while on post.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate in accordance with site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all activities, incidents, and/or issues as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and local law enforcement as needed in support of security-related objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • You must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification is required for positions in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
