As a Security Officer - Armed Tech/Media Patrol in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Must have an Active DCJS Armed Guard Card, be 21+ years of age, and have an Active DoD Secret Clearance

Pay Rate: $27.31 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious behavior or security-related hazards within the location, especially considering the unique requirements of tech, media, and telecom environments.
  • Maintain awareness of site access points and assist with controlling entry and exit as required by site protocols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address security-related issues and uphold site-specific standards.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift in accordance with company and site reporting procedures.
  • Carry assigned firearms and related equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and client requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training to remain current with security-related procedures, emergency protocols, and technology relevant to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
  • Must have a valid armed guard card or armed guard license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
