As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Customer Service in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling the premises of a leading automotive location. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while you interact with staff and visitors to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. This role requires driving as part of your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the location, including business areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or security-related concerns throughout the facility and report findings as required by site protocols.
  • Support the client team by providing visible security-related presence and assisting with access control measures.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly, according to Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
