Job Description


As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver Auto Facility in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents while monitoring and patrolling automotive locations. Your visible presence and proactive approach will support a secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver's license as you conduct routine patrols and engage with individuals throughout the area. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by performing security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business premises and surrounding perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the location, particularly focusing on areas relevant to the auto industry environment.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and employees while maintaining a visible presence during patrols.
  • Complete detailed and accurate written reports of incidents, patrols, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Possession of a state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
