Job Description


As a Security Officer - Auto Dispatch Driver Role in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and respond to emergency situations. You will operate communication systems, coordinate response efforts, and provide outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Operate dispatch communication systems to monitor and coordinate security-related activities throughout the auto facility.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including relaying information to appropriate personnel.
  • Document and report all observed security-related incidents, suspicious activities, and/or hazards to Allied Universal management and client contacts as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date logs and records of all activities, calls, and communications processed through the dispatch center.
  • Coordinate responses and provide information to patrol staff and emergency responders as needed.
  • Assist in implementing emergency response activities by following established protocols and directions.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry or activities on the premises.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
