Job Description


As a Security Officer - Resort Patrol Driver in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will patrol assigned areas within a prominent hotel location, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible and welcoming presence. Your primary responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, monitoring for unusual activity, and providing outstanding customer service to guests and staff. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the property as part of your duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding when appropriate to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel, including guest areas, back-of-house, and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential disturbances.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, trespassing, or other security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate hotel personnel and Allied Universal management.
  • Collaborate with hotel management and staff to assist with security-related needs and/or guest service requests as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Primarily driving post experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
