As a Security Officer - Government Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying irregularities.
  • Observe and report suspicious activities and/or security-related incidents to appropriate authorities and Allied Universal management.
  • Assist visitors and employees as needed, providing directions and general information about the premises.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of patrol activities, incidents, and any security-related concerns encountered during shifts.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, following established protocols.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings at all times while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a combined total of at least three years of experience in law enforcement, military, or security-related fields, or possess a college degree.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or a General Education Development certificate.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
