Job Description


As a Security Professional - School Patrol Bike in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to customer service and clear communication will foster a welcoming atmosphere. You will support access control procedures and be part of a team that values integrity, innovation, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting a positive environment within the educational location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, unusual circumstances, or security-related issues discovered during patrols.
  • Support campus community members by offering assistance and guidance as appropriate while on patrol.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to help to maintain a welcoming and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
