Job Description


As a Security Officer – Healthcare Patrol Driver in Tuscaloosa, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling healthcare locations to help create a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and interact with staff, patients, and visitors to provide outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will also be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the healthcare location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and maintenance issues as required by site policies and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions or information as needed while maintaining awareness of the surroundings.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and healthcare staff to support a secure environment for all individuals on site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
