Job Description


As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Galveston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a leading retail location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the premises. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver's license and offers the opportunity to engage directly with the public, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, sales floor, and perimeter to help to deter potential incidents and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, suspicious activities, or security-related concerns to management and/or law enforcement as directed.
  • Assist with crowd management and help to deter theft or disruptive behavior within the retail environment.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by monitoring entry and exit points and/or high-traffic areas as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Document all activities, incidents, and observations in detailed reports according to company and location procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor while interacting with customers, employees, and visitors at the retail location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
