Job Description


As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol Driver in Godfrey, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at an educational location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the campus. Your role includes providing outstanding customer service, supporting a welcoming environment, and communicating clearly with individuals on site. This position is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any irregularities.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with campus personnel and/or law enforcement when necessary, providing support during emergencies and/or critical events.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site-specific policies.
  • Maintain awareness of the location's environment to identify potential security-related concerns and report them promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
