Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol in Desoto, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual occurrences according to established protocols.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials of individuals as needed.
  • Collaborate and communicate with staff, patients, and visitors to address concerns and provide assistance as required.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client site policies and procedures, adapting to the unique needs of the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or general education diploma.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Certification in CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
