What You'll Do:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and to observe for unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Document incidents and observations according to Allied Universal protocols and site-specific requirements.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when required during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
