Job Description


As a Security Officer – Healthcare Loss Prevention in Wexford, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within the medical facility. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while supporting hospital staff, patients, and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication, respond to varied situations, and assist with maintaining a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare location, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the well-being of staff, visitors, and patients.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification as needed, and helping to maintain authorized access to restricted areas.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness drills and follow established protocols in the event of an emergency within the healthcare setting.
  • Maintain professional communication with all individuals encountered while on duty, providing assistance and information as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hospital positions require up-to-date vaccinations as a condition of employment.
  • Hospital positions may require working in or around hospital morgue environments.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants may be required to assist with safely restraining individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
