As a Armed Security Officer - Government Site - Full Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a valued member of Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting armed patrols throughout government facilities, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering outstanding customer service. In this dynamic role, you will assist in creating a secure environment for all individuals, interacting with the public and staff, and responding to incidents as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgment and communication skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas and/or sensitive zones within the location, verifying credentials and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed written reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and client representatives as required.
  • Provide assistance to individuals as needed, including offering directions, answering questions, and supporting emergency response activities in accordance with site protocols.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related risks or suspicious activity, reporting observations promptly to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
