Job Description


As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Driver in Auburn, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. You will remain highly visible, respond to situations as they arise, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle while on patrol. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or incidents encountered during patrols within the location.
  • Collaborate with store management and/or staff to address security-related concerns and support daily operations.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Remain alert to changes in the environment and adapt patrol routes or focus areas as necessary based on client needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
