As a Security Officer - Access Control Petrochemical PT in Paulsboro, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer with a focus on access control at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, managing entry points, supporting access procedures, and delivering excellent customer service and communication. This role is a driving post, requiring you to meet AU driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials of employees, contractors, and visitors in accordance with established procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities at the chemical and petrochemical facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following all protocols required at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe and report irregularities and/or suspicious activities.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions from visitors and personnel while maintaining security-related procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, supporting Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, or activities as required by the site’s procedures and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
