As a Security Officer – Hospital Patrol Unit Support in Monroeville, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed professional with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors to provide outstanding customer service and support, responding to situations with integrity and teamwork. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including interior areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification as necessary, and observing visitor and staff activity.
  • Document and report any unusual observations, incidents, or hazardous conditions to the appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or shelter-in-place procedures according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment, including areas such as morgue facilities.
  • Must be able to assist with restraining individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and/or other vaccinations as required by the hospital client may be required.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
