Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Unarmed Patrol Full-Time in Fullerton, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure and welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain an orderly environment within the healthcare facility.
  • Assist with access control procedures, including verifying credentials of staff, visitors, and contractors as required.
  • Document security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site requirements and Allied Universal standards.
  • Assist emergency personnel and coordinate with site leadership when responding to medical emergencies, fire alarms, or other urgent situations.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid and current Guard Card or security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
