Job Description


As a Security Guard - School Patrol Driver in Boulder, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the site, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment. This unarmed, driving role involves engaging with students, staff, and visitors to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. You'll be an integral part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity, making a positive impact within the campus community by supporting a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational campus and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Monitor campus grounds and buildings for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site procedures.
  • Support access control by observing entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and assisting as needed.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed incident and daily activity reports in accordance with Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Applicants should be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, which is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
