As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver in East Chicago, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the site and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your strong customer service skills and clear communication will be key as you interact with staff and visitors, contributing to a welcoming environment. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for vehicle patrols as well. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, presence of unauthorized individuals, or unusual occurrences.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or site supervisors regarding any security-related concerns or incidents encountered during patrols.
• Assist employees, visitors, and contractors with security-related inquiries and directions as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and any actions taken during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
