As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. You will be responsible for managing access points, verifying credentials, and remaining visible to provide a reassuring presence. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials and permissions for entry and exit at designated points.
  • Assist with implementing site-specific security-related procedures and policies to help to deter unauthorized access within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Provide customer service by addressing questions and concerns from employees, visitors, and contractors in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents or violations.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to communicate and report any security-related concerns or unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possession of a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • State, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
