Job Description


As a Armed Security Officer - Government Site in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a government location. Your role will involve monitoring assigned areas, interacting professionally with the public, and delivering an outstanding customer service experience. You will be a key part of a team that values agility, reliability, and integrity, making a real impact by supporting a secure environment for everyone in the community.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations on site in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business areas and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor the premises for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents in the government environment.
  • Interact with staff, visitors, and/or the public to provide assistance, information, and directions as needed.
  • Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms and related equipment in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required.
  • Must be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
