What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including appropriate emergency response activities when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and identify any unusual activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and critical areas within the location to help support a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, activities, and observations during patrols as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Communicate and collaborate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to address questions, provide information, and support security-related needs.
  • Remain alert and attentive during assigned shifts to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
