Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Specialist CRE in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your presence and attention will help to promote a secure environment for tenants and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the property, remain visible, and support security-related operations, all while embodying Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct both regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any irregularities.
  • Communicate with property management and/or tenants as needed to address concerns or incidents related to the location.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal procedures and site requirements.
  • Remain alert and attentive while patrolling, monitoring for any unusual or suspicious activity in and around the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in a security-related role.
  • Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
