Job Description


As a Elite Security Officer - Armed Patrol Retail Mall in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This is an armed and driving post, where your professionalism and strong communication skills will contribute to a welcoming environment. You will interact with customers and staff, respond to incidents, and provide support as needed. Must have 3 years of military, law enforcement, corrections or 5 years of armed security experience. 

 

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around retail locations and their perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas for unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate reports of incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents.
  • Remain visible and approachable to assist customers and staff with security-related concerns.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms in alignment with legal requirements and company policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or 5 years of armed security experience. 
  • Applicants must possess a current armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must possess a Level III armed certification if applying for positions in Texas.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
