Job Description


As a Security Officer – Hospital Patrol Response Lead in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, where you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to maintaining a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff within the healthcare location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare environment in a calm and problem-solving manner, promoting a sense of order and assistance.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and support a secure atmosphere.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of the healthcare facility's operational needs.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and/or irregularities in compliance with site guidelines and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with directions, information requests, and general support for staff, patients, and visitors as part of delivering excellent customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must comply with all hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in or around hospital morgue areas.
  • Must be able to physically restrain individuals as required in a hospital setting.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
