As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for the public and staff. This position requires both armed responsibilities and driving duties. You will interact with the community, provide outstanding customer service, and respond professionally to incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, adhering to established site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and protocols in accordance with the unique requirements of a government facility.
  • Provide customer service to all visitors and personnel by addressing questions and concerns in a professional manner while remaining alert to potential security-related issues.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of patrols, incidents, and activities as required by the location and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with other security-related personnel and law enforcement as needed to support the security-related needs of the government facility.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A college degree is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A corrections officer license is required.
  • Applicants must provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate's degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
