Job Description


As a Security Officer - Front Desk Specialist CRE in Downers Grove, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for tenants, visitors, and employees, providing a welcoming presence while assisting with access control and responding to security-related inquiries. Your role will help to deter security-related incidents through excellent customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk, including greeting and assisting visitors, employees, and tenants.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and managing visitor logs as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for commercial real estate environments.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management to address inquiries and report security-related concerns.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, remaining at the front desk to coordinate information and direct first responders if necessary.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing Allied Universal at the client location.
  • Document and report daily activities and any unusual occurrences in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
