As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist PT in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding promptly to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide a high level of customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the location.
  • Carry and maintain control of authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols for armed posts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the location.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or unusual circumstances according to Allied Universal procedures.
  • Assist employees, visitors, and/or vendors with directions and information regarding the location and its policies.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services during emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience and a combined 3 years of law enforcement, military, and/or adult corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
