Job Description


As a Security Professional - Government Patrol in Riverhead, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. You will remain visible throughout your patrols, respond promptly to situations, and provide excellent customer service. This role offers the opportunity to demonstrate your communication skills and experience in access control while being part of a team that values agility, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to individuals at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, assisting in maintaining order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter potential disruptions and/or unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and/or activities while on duty.
  • Work closely with site personnel to report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials when required.
  • Follow all company protocols and training provided by Allied Universal, adapting to the unique requirements of the government environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
