As a Security Guard - Shopping Center Patrol Driver in Hampton, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a leading retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help foster a secure environment for customers and staff. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service will create positive experiences for everyone you encounter. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Provide outstanding customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related risks, or hazards found during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and/or other unwanted behavior.
• Work collaboratively with store staff and Allied Universal team members to support a welcoming environment for customers and employees.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
