Job Description


As a Security Officer - Commercial Patrol Driver in Kailua Kona, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prestigious commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. This role requires driving, so a valid driver's license is necessary. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, involving law enforcement or emergency services when required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any security-related concerns.
  • Monitor the premises for suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues, and report findings to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel or site management.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and site requirements.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance to building occupants and visitors as needed.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for access control, visitor management, and emergency response procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
