As a Security Officer - Access Control Residential in Calabasas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming atmosphere at a residential location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols of the property, and remaining highly visible to assist residents and guests. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment while providing exceptional customer service and upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity through teamwork and a caring approach.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the residential community, verifying credentials of residents, guests, and vendors in accordance with site-specific guidelines.
• Provide customer service by assisting residents and visitors with inquiries and directions while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the community grounds and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal procedures and site protocols.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards encountered during shifts.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed by site policies and Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed, following approved procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence at access points and throughout the location to help to deter potential security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required, as required by client.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
