Job Description


As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrol Driver in Westville, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with personnel to provide exceptional customer service and communication. This role is a driving position, so you will be responsible for operating company or client vehicles as you navigate the property. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the security-related needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential hazards, keeping in mind the unique aspects of a chemical and petrochemical setting.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns as per site protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment for all individuals on the premises.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
