As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Evening Shift in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. By conducting routine patrols and remaining visible, you help to deter security-related incidents and respond to any concerns that arise. Your role also includes providing outstanding customer service and communication, reflecting Allied Universal’s commitment to people, teamwork, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or situations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and/or patients to provide assistance and relay important information as needed.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed to support a secure environment within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
