Job Description


As a Security Professional - Hospital Unarmed Roving Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence and regular patrols will help to deter security-related incidents, while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. This position is ideal for individuals who are committed to putting people first, working collaboratively, and who are eager to contribute to a caring and innovative team environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies while being prepared to respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any security-related concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Assist staff, visitors, and/or patients with directions and general inquiries, delivering professional and courteous service at all times.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for any unusual activity within the healthcare setting.
  • Report maintenance or security-related hazards identified during patrols to appropriate personnel for follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
