Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility Patrols Full-Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol, Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential disruptions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activities, security-related hazards, and/or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with wayfinding and provide information to patients, staff, and visitors as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal management to address any security-related concerns or incidents.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with company and healthcare location requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
