Job Description


As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol Driver in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols throughout a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. You will remain visible to provide a reassuring presence and support a secure environment for everyone on site. This is a driving post that requires you to demonstrate agility and reliability while navigating the facility. You will also provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and uphold the values of integrity and innovation that define Allied Universal's caring culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial facility and its perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary based on the location.
  • Observe for any irregularities and report incidents to the appropriate personnel as required by Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control, greeting and screening visitors, contractors, and/or employees entering the premises.
  • Work collaboratively with site staff and Allied Universal management to support ongoing security-related operations.
  • Document and communicate any issues or concerns identified during patrols or routine activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
