Job Description


As a Security Professional - Telecom Patrol Driver in Carleton, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will have the important role of monitoring and patrolling a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with employees and visitors, providing excellent customer service and communication. You will conduct regular patrols, support access control, and utilize technology to maintain a secure environment. This position requires driving as part of your duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a technology, media, and telecommunications environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including business areas and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and employees while on patrol to address questions and provide assistance.
  • Observe and report any unusual activities or security-related concerns encountered during patrols.
  • Document incidents and daily activities following Allied Universal protocols and client site requirements.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort working with computers or tablets is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
