As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas while remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting regular patrols, assisting customers, and providing outstanding communication and support to all visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or activities within the retail environment.
• Collaborate with store staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and assist with crowd management when needed.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft and/or disruptive behavior.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports documenting observations, incidents, and actions taken while on duty.
• Support a welcoming and secure shopping experience by providing a visible Allied Universal presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A valid state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• A current guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
