Job Description


As a Security Officer - Distribution Patrol in West Memphis, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and interact with staff and visitors to provide outstanding customer service. You will play a key part in maintaining a secure environment through routine patrols and access control duties, all while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor site conditions and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or irregularities observed during patrols.
  • Support the control of access and egress of personnel, vehicles, and materials as required by site policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities and incidents encountered during the shift.
  • Communicate professionally with site staff, visitors, and delivery personnel to address inquiries or provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
