Job Description


As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Full-Time in Falls Church, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a dynamic healthcare location. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible throughout the facility to help deter security-related incidents, and interact with staff, patients, and visitors to deliver exceptional customer service. Your presence will contribute to a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere, supporting the wellbeing of all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for those on site.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Assist staff, patients, and visitors with security-related matters as needed, maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and local law enforcement when required, following established protocols.
  • Follow emergency response procedures as outlined in post orders, supporting prompt and appropriate action during medical and/or security-related emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of vaccination in accordance with hospital requirements is required.
  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
