Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Government Facility in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by regularly monitoring and patrolling government-related locations. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a secure environment while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a security-related presence.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.
  • Interact professionally with the public, staff, and visitors while upholding site rules, regulations, and the expectations of Allied Universal.
  • Assist law enforcement and/or emergency response personnel as needed during incidents on government property.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related situations that may arise during patrols or while stationed at posts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Hold a current armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hold a current CPR certification; this is preferred but not required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
