Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Detail Government in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer where you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence in a government location. You will be responsible for monitoring assigned areas, addressing potential security-related concerns, and delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter, staying alert to unusual activity or circumstances.
  • Monitor entrances, exits and public areas to help to deter unauthorized access, suspicious behavior and/or activities.
  • Document incidents and observations in detailed security-related reports as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents as directed.
  • Maintain a visible and professional Allied Universal presence while on patrol and interacting with the public.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Hold a current armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
