As a Security Officer - CRE Dispatch Desk in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will play a vital role in coordinating security-related communications and activities. You will monitor access points, manage badge entries, and maintain detailed records using computer systems or tablets. What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for dispatch operations, monitoring and managing communications for the location.
  • Receive and coordinate responses to emergency and non-emergency calls, relaying information to appropriate personnel in a timely and organized manner.
  • Document and maintain detailed records of incidents, calls, and activities in the dispatch log.
  • Support security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points through surveillance systems and/or radio communications.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to help to deter unauthorized activities within the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, ensuring appropriate support is dispatched when needed.
  • Provide customer service by assisting staff, visitors, and vendors with inquiries related to security-related issues.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when required, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Experience in access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
