As a Security Officer - Commercial Real Estate Dispatch in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will play a key role in monitoring and coordinating security-related communications and activities. Your responsibilities include managing alarm panels, handling access control and badge systems, and providing prompt, professional responses to incidents and requests. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining detailed logs and remaining attentive to all activities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies while maintaining a professional presence at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing knowledge of emergency response activities as appropriate for the environment.
  • Monitor and coordinate communications for the location, serving as the primary point of contact for dispatching security-related personnel and managing incident reports.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and supporting visitor management protocols.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records of all communications, incidents, and activities relevant to the location.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to help to deter disruptive activity and provide support as needed.
  • Conduct regular and/or random patrols around the business and perimeter, depending on assignment, to observe and report any unusual activity or issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
