As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Bloomington, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and conduct regular patrols at a commercial real estate location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. You will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication while assisting with daily operations. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations on site in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing communication skills to address situations as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Collaborate with property management, staff, and/or local law enforcement as needed to support a secure environment.
  • Remain alert to surroundings and potential hazards, taking action as directed by site policies and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development activities related to security-related procedures and emergency response.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
