As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Auto in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic automotive location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong and visible presence. You will interact with employees, visitors, and guests, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for vehicle patrols across the property. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergencies when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related concerns as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the automotive facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report suspicious activities or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel in accordance with Allied Universal policies.
  • Interact in a professional manner with employees, visitors, and/or contractors at the location to assist with security-related matters.
  • Document incidents and daily activities accurately and promptly in required logs or reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
